Back from Boston
So I hate flying. I've always kind of hated it. I got used to it back when I was flying alot (from Boston to New York and to D.C.) but then I stopped and my fear kicked back up again. The turbulence gets me. I know it's just wind knocking the plane around, but for me, it's still scary.
Usually I start to get nervous about 2 or 3 days before the flight. I have to remind myself to calm down because I'm working myself up about an hour and a half long ordeal that's 72 hours away. This time was no different. I started to get nervous last Wednesday, and by Friday night, I was a nervous wreck. Although for my husband's sake, I internalized most of it.
However, I was pleasantly surprised with our trip up to Boston on Saturday morning. Bri and I met a really nice and interesting guy named Mike McCann. Aside from his two teaching jobs (Yale and Vermont Law) he's also the Legal Analyst for Sports Illustrated. Our conversation with him really made the flight fly by (pun intended).
Once we were in Boston, it was par for the course. The hotel we stayed in was an old favorite of mine (the first place I ever stayed the first time I went to Boston with my sis back in 2003). The weather was typical Boston February weather, if not on the nice side. I believe it got all the way up to the high 40s! I saw an old friend or two. And some great news is.... one of them is getting married! Which means I get to attend an Indian wedding. I've never done that before and I'm super excited! I plan on wearing a sari and I would love to wear something like this:I'm thrilled because I've always thought Indian clothing was the most beautiful cultural clothing out there. Brian said he would even wear an Indian suit!!!

I love, love, love Indian clothes. The outfits the bride will wear will be the best. Just make sure if you get your hands henna'd that it looks better than mine did!
@maiuri - I know girl.... that henna you had done was so freakin funny. I couldn't stop laughing at it!
Hey, you told me you didn't get nervous about flying anymore. I would have tried to talk you down had I known.
