My neck, my back….
So I’m another year older… and so far I’m not feeling any different. I’m surprised. I thought my bones would start to creak (more than usual) and my teeth would start to fall out and I would need to be fitted for dentures. But so far, nothing!My birthday weekend was very exciting. Friday night was chill, but that’s ok cause I spent it with my husband. We watched “The Talented Mr. Ripley” which neither one of us had every seen before. I had never seen it because in high school, Allison told me it was such a horrible movie. I think that’s because she had a HUGE crush on Matt Damon back in the day and she was also slightly homophobic back then (you know you were girl, don’t deny it). I thought the movie was great! Although Brian (who is also a big Matt Damon fan for some reason) said he would never see Matt Damon the same way again. Hooray! I hate him (Matt).Saturday was the big day, and I totally screwed up because I hurt my neck. I was doing a Jillian Michael’s back exercise, and then I cracked my neck and BAM… couldn’t look to the right anymore. I thought that kind of crap only happened on sitcoms! But I trucked on with my birthday plans anyway. Brian took me to breakfast at Mimi’s Cafe. It was good. I LOVE breakfast, it’s my favorite meal of the day. So that was VERY yummy.Then Bri and I went to pick up my beautiful birthday cake:
It was as delicious as it looks. Isaac was very excited to get a piece:The rest of the day was pretty chill. We had dinner at Ruth’s Chris and it was SOOOO good! I got a filet that melted in my mouth.The next day we left for Atlantic Ctiy. It was a tough drive because it was very uncomfortable to sit in the car. But it was worth it, because when we arrived and checked in, they told us at the front desk that we were upgraded to a complimentary suite! Awesome!It was huge, and beautiful and wonderful, here are some pics:So yes, all in all, I had a magical beautiful 28th birthdayThank you to all of my family and friends for making it so special!
Love,Moi

it was indeed great fun
It sounds like you had a great birthday. Did you win big money? That suite is swank.
Haha, despite the fact that I hated the Talented Mr Ripley, I saw in twice in the movie theater. Perhaps I should watch it again. It’s hard to judge by my high school movie taste – I thought “Can’t Hardly Wait” was a great movie. Oh wait, I still do. Haha, I was thinking about your posting about movies you can watch a million times on Sunday night as I watched “Daddy’s Little Girls” again. I can’t help it; I always get sucked into watching those Tyler Perry movies. But I think it’s mostly because they’re on TV all the time. Same goes for Keira Knightly’s Pride & Prejudice. I do really love both the book and movie, and since Oxygen plays the movie all the time, I just can’t pass it up.
@maiuri - Did not win big at all
But Isaac really seemed to enjoy the scratch ticket, so that was funny. You should definitely try watching Ripley again. It was really good!
@maiuri – Tyler Perry movies???
@Big Sis - I know! I thought the same thing. But Al has a thing for black movies….
