To the children who live downstairs - I hate you
I hate the kids that live downstairs. Their section 8 mother lives with them, and has a different man stopping by once a week (no exaggeration!) So yes, those kids run free, they look like they all have different fathers, and their mother does absolutely nothing about it. Sometimes they're gone for like two weeks at a time. And during that time frame, I rejoice! But when they get back, they're running up and down the stairs of the condo building, they're bouncing they're damn basketball (and I can hear it through my walls), and they're screaming and running around. I HATE THEM! My sister says I need to chill out, because they're kids. But I truly believe she feels that way because she has kids.
Plus, the mom sits on the balcony and smokes. Which means when she's out there, I can't sit out because I HATE CIGARETTE SMOKE.
Ok, I'm done venting, I just had to get it off my chest.

You live in a condo? That would mean there is someone you can complain to, right? I'm not sure how condos work, landlord wise, but isn't there like a Homeowners Association? If so, sounds like you wouldn't be the first to complain. I would hate going home if I had that to look forward to.
@Ampersands_Anonymous - The worst part is, I WORK FROM HOME! So I have to listen to those brats all day. I was very nice early on and said something to their trashy mom and she practically slammed the door in my face. So maybe I will reach out to their landlord.

@LabelLover81 - Do it! If they're lowering your quality of life and you've tried to address the issue with the mother before, I say don't hesitate to make a move.
I agree – you should definitely engage your homeowners association to deal with the brats. I blame the mom though and not the kids. They don’t know any better without decent parents. I’m sure that was your sister’s point. But I and O don’t run wild. And even if they did, they’re so freaking cute we probably wouldn’t care!
